- Safely and efficiently mobilize, setup and operate HDD equipment to maximize daily productivity and quality, while providing resolution to problems that may arise at drill site
- Responsible for the locating process and equipment during the drilling phase (when not operating)
- Operate other equipment as necessary including trenchers, mini excavators, and backhoes
- Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism when working directly with customers, vendors/suppliers and subcontractors
- Take direction easily and respect changes in priorities and timing as requested by manager
- Perform all duties according and utilizing safety procedures and equipment, while following and implementing all Miss Utility Laws
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident statistics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Assist with various construction tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials
- Operate hand and power tools as directed by the construction team
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Clean and maintain construction sites to promote efficiency and organization
- Assist with the setup and teardown of equipment and scaffolding
- Collaborate with the construction team to complete projects on time
- Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
- Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
- Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
- Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
- Coordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules
- Managing vehicle licensure and registration
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
- Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
- Searching for, hiring and training new Drivers
- Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
